FAQs

You are given access to the studio outside of class hours with your own keys and codes. During this time you can stay for as along as you wish, during non teaching days. You will be given your clay at the start of every month and from there you can create to your hearts content. The studio contains all the tools you will need including pottery wheels and glazes. You will be taking care of your own clay recycling which I will go through in out introduction talk.

Membership is suitable for people who have completed courses with me in pottery and want time to create rather than tuition. Membership does not include any kind of tuition or classes, so you must have enough pottery knowledge to create on your own. If you have not had a lesson with me before but have had lessons in another studio, then at least one lesson with me is required to assess suitability. If you have never glazed before, you must have a lesson in glazing before becoming a member.

Members are allowed access to the studio outside class times.
The studio is always open to members all day Sunday, Monday and Fridays. It is also available other days and times it just depends on the current class schedule. Our class schedule changes every term, but I usually teach classes on Saturdays until 6:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday evenings 7-9pm, and Wednesday daytime.

You absolutely can. The monthly membership covers the cost of your clay, glazes and firing. If you prefer to create at home rather than the studio, that is no problem. The cost remains the same and you simply drop your work into the studio for your firings.
